Salamom Programme

The program started in 1999 and was implemented by the International Christian NGO, the Assemblies of God under a MoU with Ministry of Education, and Youth and Sports.
In 2004, the Assemblies of God is transferring this program over to a local NGO, Cambodia Global Action (CGA) in the process of localization some activities of Assemblies of God.
With this program, CGA wants orphans and children from vulnerable families of Phnom Penh and other provinces, to be educated in a way that is both Cambodian and holistic, with a standard of excellence, and with the participation of the parents or the tutors.
Our vision is that our students will be agents of transformation in their communities.

Our activities

  • We educate children from Kindergarten to Grade 12, in the safe environment of Salamom School in Phnom Penh, using a holistic curriculum that combines the general official curriculum of the Ministry Of Education, Youth and Sports with international curriculum. Children are thus well-educated and equipped physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally and morally.
  • We train and build the capacity of teachers from Salamom and from other schools in the provinces for holistic education.
  • We empower the parents or the tutors of the students of Salamom for their roles in the holistic development of the children.
